Ledger Live also adds a range of new features that make it easier to own, monitor and transact cryptocurrencies. In the first of two blogs, we are taking an in-depth look at some new features:

Ledger Live supports all of today’s major cryptocurrencies and we will continue to add new ones regularly. We have worked hard to create the best possible user experience, whether you’re new to Ledger, or have been using our products for some time. That includes a faster, more straightforward process for setting-up new cryptocurrency accounts and for importing existing Ledger accounts.

If you have previously set up currency wallets on your Ledger device using Chrome apps, transferring them to Ledger Live could not be easier. During the initial Ledger Live setup process, you will be prompted to ‘add accounts’.

Select the cryptocurrency type from a drop-down menu, then open the relevant app on your Ledger device. Details of your holdings will then be imported into Ledger Live.

You also have the option to import an existing account at any time by clicking the ‘+’ button next to ‘Accounts’ on the left hand side menu.

To store any secure keys on your Ledger wallet, you must first install the relevant crypto app onto the device. This can be done from the ‘Manager’ screen in Ledger Live. To enable a new crypto asset on Ledger your device, simply click ‘install’ next to the app. It is also possible to delete apps from your Ledger device by clicking the trash can icon.
